Art & Crafts for Children in Preschool
The ‘Creative Me’ program melds two of the favorite activities that are loved by children in their early years – Art & Craft. Little do they know that it is so good for their development as well! Craft require children to use both of their hands together. This skill of bilateral co-ordination is very important in other areas including writing, tying shoes, typing and much more! Art projects help children develop fine motor coordination, which translates into other areas of their lives, including dressing and eating. What better way to be creative and have some fun as you open the doors for art & crafts for children as a single activity!
Art & crafts in children also effectively teaches self-regulation, as crafts that require drying require waiting! This is a great lesson for children to demonstrate self-control and patience. When things don’t go exactly as planned, it promotes flexibility in children. They also learn that there is s no right or wrong way in exploring one’s own creativity!
Involving in art and craft activities is also a self-esteem booster. Completing the art and craft projects successfully will give children a great sense of accomplishment and pride.
